Zhang Xueli

Zhang Xueli is director of the Department of Internet of Things (IoT) and Service and Resources, Institute of Communication Standard Research, CATR, MIIT, China. She graduated from the Beijing University of Post and Telecommunication (BUPT) in 1993, and has 20 years of ICT experience. Her areas of focus include the Internet of Things, telecommunication services and applications, emergency communication research and standardization.

She is CATR leader of the EU FP7 PROBE-IT (Pursuing ROadmap and BEnchmark for Internet of Things) Project, member of the EU-China Internet of things (IoT) advisory group, involved in EU-China ICT dialogue, EU-China Smart city cooperation, EU-China Trade project and PDSF events, EU IoT week and IoT forum event, high-level consultations with MIIT on Internet of Things, telecommunication services and applications, standardization strategy and policies in China and in charge of CJK (China, Japan and Korea) international work from 2004, including CJK standard cooperation, China and Korea NGN test-bed cooperation and CJK future network cooperation.
